Although I know about flex for some time, I seriously evaluated Adobe’s Flex 3 software environment roughly 3 weeks ago. And, well, I fall in love. Flex 3 is definitely the most impressive web solution I’ve seen for quote some time now.
You might think, ‘Well, Flex/Flash what’s the difference?’
To make a long story short: Flex is made for software engineers, not designers: Just Eclipse, no timelines.
These are the top reasons, which I like Flex 3:
- Flex has a nice separation between declarative XML specifications and backing Actionscript code
- FlexBuilder 3 is a fast and intuitive IDE (being based on Eclipse is a plus)
- Actionscript is a strongly-typed object oriented-language
- By means of the Flex Module for Apache/IIS, you might compile Flex on your web-server
For Flex newbies, here are some good starting points:
- Adobe’s Flex Developer Center, the ultimate starting point
- Flex Examples by Peter deHaan sdfsdf
- Adobe’s Flex Cookbook provides solutions by means of Q/A snippets
- RIAedia’s Flex section
Finally, the FlexBuilder 3 download location: Download the FlexBuilder 3 trial

cool!!
viel Erfolg mit dieser Seite!
